Saint Catherine
Saint Catherine
Saint Catherine of Siena reminds us that the world does not need another copy of someone else. It needs the person God created you to become.
Saint Catherine lived with remarkable confidence in the purpose God had given her. A Dominican tertiary. mystic. peacemaker. and eventually a Doctor of the Church. she entered boldly into the spiritual and political struggles of her time while remaining deeply rooted in prayer and love for Christ. The words so often associated with her. Be who God meant you to be. and you will set the world on fire. beautifully capture the spirit of her life.
Her example reminds us that holiness does not erase who we are. It brings us more fully alive. God gives each person particular gifts. personalities. circumstances. and opportunities. and when those are placed at His service. even an ordinary life can have an extraordinary impact.
Be who God meant you to be. and you will set the world on fire.
Saint Catherine of Siena. pray for us.
